Our school has become one of the reputed Institutions in Barwani because of the unlimited spirit and hard work of the dedicated Sisters & committed teachers who are shouldering the responsibilities of educating the students...in discipline, patience and perseverance, self confidence. Keeping this in mind, on 1st April 2018 the School started its new session with over1300 students, 65 well qualified and efficient staff in all.

We had 92% results in the 12th Std .Master Aryan Gupta of PCM stream scored 93.4% and topped the school. Ms.Jamila Shafi (PCM), Silki Soni(PCM), Maria Shekh(PCB), Koustub Swanakar (PCB), RamKumar Paridar(PCB)Vrinda Gupta(Comm.) scored well. We had 100 % result in the 10 th std, Aastha Pawar,Soniya Alex,Ranveer Alaway, Parth Karma, Anjeli Kumrawat,Nandini Changar, Dilpreet Singh, Katyaani Sharma fared extremely well in their scores.
Most of our students are doing well in their studies, after the first term assessment the slow learners are given additional assistance to cope up with their studies. The teachers monitor their progress and frequently interact with their parents. The remedial classes were conducted for all the classes’ especially for the weak students extra attention and care is given. Academic Session 2018-19 annual result was extremely good and stood top in the Barwani Schools. Students responded to the effort of the teachers and management.
2. MAJOR ACTIVITIES OF THE SCHOOL
The Graduation Ceremony was held, as the students of Little Planet entered in St. Mary’s campus the whole School cheered and welcomed. U.K.G Teachers handed over the students to the Teachers of Class 1st. The Principal graduated UKG students to class 1st. In the same manner all the class students were graduated to the next class & the new class teacher took the charge.
Students have various tests to check their learning capacity. Two Terms and two Periodic tests are conducted. This time Terms exams were for 80 marks & Periodic exams for 50 marks. Due to this all the students showed interest and took seriously the examination.
Students take initiative along with their class teachers to conduct the assembly creatively. Whole month’s assembly turn is displayed on the notice board which helps the student to prepare it in advance and more creatively.
Counseling sessions help many students to cope up with their emotional, physiological and mental behaviors. There are lots of changes in the students after the counseling.
Sisters and teachers are in charges of different Clubs, Houses, wings and classes which helps the smooth running in our administration.
1.CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
We celebrate all the major religious and National festivals in the school. We give lot of emphasis for the extracurricular activities like Art &craft, Dance, music, Yoga, karate, and all the different sports. The school organized the National Olympiad Examination for various subjects like Maths, Science, English, and General Knowledge. The clubs flourish the talents of the students and help in development of our intellectual social, cultural, psychological, physical and spiritual formation. There are numbers of clubs organised for different subjects and activities such as; English, Hindi and Sanskrit literary clubs; commerce, economics, ecological, science, social science , mathematics, cultural , art and craft, and sports club. Various individual and group competitions were conducted by these clubs. Poem recitations , storytelling , Drama , newspaper reading and writing, poster making, collage , debates, dance , extempore, diya making , rangolis , fireless cooking , Hairstyles ,rakhi making to name a few.
Every Saturday special assembly is conducted by one of the clubs imparting some moral lessons.
Life Skills-:The students were given exposure to reality of life; like visiting the underprivileged children, visiting students at Asha Bal Mandir, putting up the stalls to help the needy children. And also students indeed showed active participation in helping out the Flood victims in Kerala. The students all contributed very generously.
Summer Camp:-The School conducted Summer Camp for the Students from 23rd to 27th April 2018. It was a first attempt hence all were excited. With great enthusiasm all the students participated in the activities. It was a great success. The activities were: Cricket, Football, Volleyball, basket ball, Tennis, Karate, Art & Craft, Scout and Guide, Vedic Math, Spoken English, Computer. On the closing day students were given a participant certificate.
Installation ceremony of the Students’ Council was held on 17th of July. The new board of members took an oath in the presence of school management, staff and students to take up the responsibility to lead various school activities. This academic session along with captain, vice captain and one secretary was elected from class5th students representative from primary section. Master Tahir Kapadia and Ms. Renuka Dodve of class XI were elected as Head boy and head girl respectively.
Bagless day-“Learn by Fun”- On 3rd of November 2018 was arranged bagless day for the students. That day, students learned without books and copies; each teacher took initiative to prepare & arranged the day for the students
Ethnic day “Back to Indian root”- Children’s day was celebrated as an ethnic day. That day all the students wore Indian traditional dress. That day importance, types and value of our Indian traditional dress was explained by the teachers.
The students of class 11th and 12th were taken Educational tour for one day outing to Somanipuram, Indore which is famous for adventurous Park. Sr.Celima, Sr.Mychelin and few teachers accompanied the students.
The School had kept “FAIR OF WONDERS” Exhibition cum Baal Mela. The students put up the exhibition according to the clubs. The Chief Guest was Mr. Amit Tomar, IAS collector, Barwani and the Special Guest was Fr. Thomas, Parish priest of Catholic Church Barwani and Sr. Stella, Provincial counselor-St.Joseph’s Province, Dhar. Each clubs prepared the unique models. Scout and Guide students had put up the Camp with tents.
Along with the Exhibition, Baal mela was organized. In that four Houses put up the stalls. Parents appreciated the efforts and the ideas of the students. The collected money from the stalls was given for the Kerala flood victims.
Feast day celebration-On 31st of January the feast day was celebrated in the school. Small prayer service was conducted by the sisters. Thereafter short life history of the Foundress of the Society, St.Kathrina Kasper was told & also the reason of her Sainthood was explained.
Adieu:--St.Mary’s Airline booked the Boarding pass for our 12th class students’ those who were getting ready to fly to future. 11th class students prepared a memorable farewell for the 12th class students. Whole staff and 11th class students gave farewell to them and wished them best wishes for their examination. 12th class students also received few awards- best outgoing student Award to Ms.Shraddha Patidar and Master Aryan Gupta, Miss & Mr. St.Mary’s award to Ms.Tisha Sharma and Master kaustubh Swarnakar and Miss & Mr. Farewell Award to Ms.Silki Soni and Master Ishan Varma.
Valedictory function: -St.Mary’s ended all the activities and competitions by celebrating valedictory function. That day all the medals and certificates were distributed. Over all Shubash house won ‘The Runner-Up’ Trophy and Gandhi house bagged the winner trophy.
There was Karate National championship held in Delhi, our students participated and brought honor to our School by winning gold, silver and bronze medals.
Our students went for many sahodaya competations and Inter house tournaments. Our school won many trophies and medals in sports. Under 19 and 14 categories our kabaddi, football, cricket team were the winners and the runner up. In skating students stood in second rank.
As a proof to its excellence St. Mary’s Sr.Sec School was recognised to have the center for CBSE board examination. This year 100 more students were added compared to last year. They were students from Saket International school, Anjad, Rukmani academy, Barwani, Paramount Accadamy, Barwani and Eklavya Residential school, Barwani got the center to our school.
There was a teachers’ seminar conducted on 7th June 2018, by Mr. Dev from Indore to interact with our staff, the topic was class management.
On 15th June Mr. Aashish conducted one day programme for the Teachers. The seminar was organized by the Next Education.
There was two days seminar conducted by the CBSE in different places for the teachers, where our teachers got chance to attend it. The topic was Classroom Management.
The students of class 10th and 12th were privileged to participate in one day seminar on 10th July 2018 by the Magistrate, Judges and Advocates of Barwani District. The group came to the school and the inputs given to the students were about the Fundamental rights, duties, rules, and laws of the citizen of India.
On 13th September, 2018 another seminar was conducted by Mr. Robert (counselor and founder of Ten million talents) from Pune for the Teachers. The topic was about to know the students as well as to know ourselves. On 14th same resource person Mr. Robert gave seminar for the students of class 9th to 12th. He is finger print expert. Many teachers and students were interested to know about themselves.
The School conducted many Scholastic and Co-Scholastic activities in the school. The students were found more enthusiastic and energetic to participate. The entire school campus has taken a new look -

In the end I would like to say school is where we learn about gratitude and humility – that so many people had a hand in our success.-from the teachers who inspired us, to the janitors who keep school clean. And we are taught to value everyone’s contribution and treat everyone with respect.
